Louis David Stubbins, 62, of Evansville, Indiana, went to be with the Lord Saturday, July 15, 2017, at the Linda White Hospice Home. Louis (Louie) was born in Evansville on December 1, 1954, to the late Martin and Ruth (Retter) Stubbins. He lived in Newburgh for 59 years until he moved into the Easterseals Rotherwood Group Home three years ago.

He was a lifetime member of Zion UCC, Newburgh, being confirmed in 1969. Louis was a loving person who, as he was losing his ability to fully communicate, would just smile, lift his arms for a hug and say, "I just love you."

Louis is survived by his guardians (cousins), David and Diane Jaquess of Newburgh, Indiana; and other cousins; his Zion Church family; and his Rotherwood Group Home family.

A special thanks to Dr. Harry Harvey for the excellent care that Louie has received under his directions. Also, a heartfelt thanks goes to the Easterseals staff who gave Louie such loving and compassionate care these last three years. The family also thanks the Linda White Hospice Home and their staff for their excellent care.
